Fig Sap – Skincare Conscious Guide:  Benefits and How to Use.

Fig Sap

It contains anti-inflammatory compounds that may help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness. It has been traditionally used for minor skin conditions, but due to its potency, it should be diluted before applying to sensitive areas. Fig leaf extracts are also known for their calming effects on the skin. For inflamed skin, applying diluted fig sap can provide relief. Massage diluted fig sap onto sore joints or muscles for natural relief from inflammation.

Sap isn’t the best option for healing chapped hands and feet because it can be irritating if applied directly. However, Fig pulp or fig leaf-infused oil can help due to their moisturizing and antioxidant properties. A fig-based balm with natural butter (like shea or cocoa butter) and oils (like coconut or olive oil) could be a great remedy for dry, cracked skin.
